Upcoming Summerween Market at Soundgrowler 7/25
I am incredibly excited to announce that I’ll be making my debut at the fourth annual Summerween Market at Soundgrowler Brewing Co. in Tinley Park! Hosted by the Streetz Artz Alliance on Saturday, July 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., this is not your typical suburban craft show. It has evolved into a massive, fan-favorite South Side tradition that completely transforms Soundgrowler’s indoor barrel room and sprawling outdoor beer garden into a mid-summer haven for over 50 curated macabre makers, independent authors, and unusual artisans.
Admission is totally free, family-friendly, and packed with the perfect blend of laid-back summer vibes and eerie autumn energy.
Anyone who knows me knows that my creative fuel is a mix of the macabre and a deep love for dark beers. Because of that, this event is pretty much a five-hour vacation (assuming the weather holds).
I’ve been hard at work at the drawing board preparing a massive haul of dark goods that perfectly marry these vibes. I’ll be setting up shop with a full spread of my detailed, Edward Gorey-inspired pen and ink illustrations, haunting ghost art prints, and a line of custom, black tees designed specifically for fellow dark beer devotees. Whether you’re looking to add some dark elegance to your walls or want to grab a piece of wearable art, I’ll have plenty of pieces that live somewhere right between charming and unsettling.
I’ve never been to Soundgrowler, but word of mouth is strong for this metal-themed brewery. I’ve been hitting F5 on the Streetz application page for a couple of months now!
I’ll have a tent outside, so look for the Gunderstorm banner and the guy on his 3rd stout. Mark your calendars, bring your friends, and come say hello—I can’t wait to see you there!
